AI Footprint™ is a mobile app that estimates the approximate energy used during your interactions with AI providers. By using the app, you agree to these Terms of Use.
2. What AI Footprint™ Does
The app is designed to:
- Provide approximate watt-hour estimates for AI sessions you choose to open in the in-app browser
- Offer visual representations of usage (microwave minutes, phone charges, city skyline)
- Store all information locally on your device
- Operate without accessing or storing your prompt content
The app is for informational purposes only. It does not provide verified scientific or environmental measurements.
3. Your Responsibilities
You are responsible for:
- Maintaining control of your device and access to the app
- Complying with the terms and policies of any AI provider you use (ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, Perplexity)
4. No Warranties
AI Footprint™ provides approximate estimates only. Energy calculations may vary as model data and published information evolve. The app is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind.
5. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, AI Footprint™ and its creators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data or profits, arising from the use of or inability to use the app.
6. Age Requirement
AI Footprint™ is not intended for children under 13.
7. Updates to the App and Terms
We may update the app or these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page.
